The tagline for TCS Live is Experience the Evolution of the Game. That’s our fancy way of acknowledging that hockey changes every year. From on-ice tactics to training techniques, the game has never moved faster and if you’re not on top of the latest trends, skills, tactics, drills and leadership tips, you’re falling behind.

That’s where TCS Live, Hockey’s Premiere Coaching Conference, comes into play. This coaching masterclass, taking place at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor from June 22-24, will expose attendees to presentations from the best and brightest minds in the game.

Still not convinced? With TCS Live only 20 days away, here are 20 reasons you should attend!

– With keynotes, interviews and on-ice presentations, there’s something for all levels of coaching experience. You get the opportunity to learn from the experts leading the sport.

– You can earn coaching credits to maintain your coaching certifications.

– There’s no better networking event around for coaches. The tightness of the hockey community is what makes it truly unique, and also what makes TCS Live truly valuable.

– Red Wings Head Coach Derek Lalonde will be presenting. He’s responsible for the impressive turnaround in Detroit, one that has the Red Wings back in the playoff hunt moving forward.

– The Exhibitor Hall will feature the latest tools & tech to make your life easier as a coach. Our world class exhibitors will ensure your toolbox is filled with the top resources available.

– Kori Cheverie is taking part. She possesses the ability to break down barriers and will soon make history joining an NHL team behind the bench if she continues on her upwards trajectory.

– Ryan Blanck, Founder & CEO of Deviate, is a football whisperer having delivered life-altering coaching experiences in partnership with the National Football League. What he shares at TCS Live will be ground-breaking.

– Get ready for fun off-site! A short walk from the TCS Live conference space will find you in the heart of the bustling downtown Ann Arbor. Packed with local shops, restaurants, and bars, the city is the perfect location for additional networking and team building activities.

– Video & analytics are changing hockey. To learn more about this, we’ve teamed up with our friends at Hudl, to offer the Video & Analytics Track at TCS Live.

– Presenter Ken Martel, USA Hockey ‘s Senior Director of Player and Coach Development, is listed by the Sports Business Journal as someone “charting the course for youth sports and taking steps to get more children to play.”

– Eight members of the coaching staff from Rögle BK travelled from Sweden to attend TCS Live in 2022. They called the experience “remarkable.”

– Cathy Andrade is a friend of The Coaches Site, having taken part in our Global Skills Showcase. Her presentation was very well received, so much so that she’ll be presenting at TCS Live.

– You can connect with leaders from around the globe. TCS Live is built around sharing ideas and connecting with the leaders in our sport. Learn unique perspectives on how other clubs, leagues and federations are building their programs and pushing the game forward.

– Ann Arbor was recently named “the No. 1 best place to live in America in 2023.”

– Dan Arel, TCS contributor and Director of Player & Coach Development with the San Diego Oilers, is presenting at TCS Live. He’s quickly become our most popular writer at The Coaches Site and learning from him in person will be great.

– Coach Matt McIlvane recently led EC Red Bull Salzburg to its second straight win2day ICE Hockey League championship. His 2022 presentation on Building a Culture for Big Moments shows how knowledgeable and forward thinking our presenters are.

– Some things are bigger than hockey. Presenter Dr. Jody Carrington, a best selling author & psychologist, has developed an affinity for helping teams and organizations solve their most complex, human centered problems. She’ll be a wealth of knowledge at TCS Live.
