Bill Peters began his coaching career in 1996 as an assistant coach with the Spokane Chiefs. Through the years coaching has taken him through the WHL, CIS, AHL and to the NHL as Mike Babcock’s assistant with the Red Wings. In 2014 he was named the Head Coach of the Carolina Hurricanes. This past spring coach Peters led Team Canada to a Gold medal at the 2016 World Ice Hockey Championship.

This summer Peters shared how he and his staff prepared for the 2016 World Championships. The lessons and process he passes on can be applied to all levels and serve as a reminder that the road to success begins long before the players show up at the rink.
