Bruce Boudreau to speak at Virtual Hockey Summit this month

In Announcements, Coaching Hockey by Rob WilliamsLeave a Comment

He’s coached nearly a thousand NHL games and is one of the most charismatic coaches in hockey, so we couldn’t be more proud to announce that Bruce Boudreau will speak at our Virtual Hockey Summit this month.

Former NHLer and Up My Hockey founder Jason Podollan will interview the longtime NHL head coach, who will have plenty of stories to share in an hour-long conversation.

After a 17-year pro playing career, Boudreau paid his dues as a coach for nearly two decades before getting his first NHL opportunity. Boudreau coached in the IHL, the CoHL, the ECHL, and the AHL before the Washington Capitals gave him a shot as a midseason replacement during the 2007-08 season.

He’s been a fixture in the league ever since.

Ranking 22nd on the all-time coaching wins list, Boudreau has done a lot of winning during his illustrious career with the Capitals, Anaheim Ducks, and most recently with the Minnesota Wild. Boudreau’s career points percentage (.635) ranks third all-time (minimum 400 games), with Scotty Bowman the only coach ahead of him with more games coached.

This is the inaugural edition of the Virtual Hockey Summit, which follows in the footsteps of our popular annual Hockey Coaches Conference.

The Virtual Hockey Summit will take place online September 25-26. The cost is $250 CAD per person, but is absolutely free if you purchase an annual membership to The Coaches Site ($119.99).
