Understanding Spacing and Timing for Defencemen

“Not every defenceman is gifted offensively. However, every defenceman can defend if they want to. Defence is a want factor.”

If you want it bad enough and are willing to do what it takes, you might have a shot at playing defence for Matt Nicholson at Robert Morris University. The RMU bench boss understands the value of a strong mindset, as well as spacing and timing for defencemen, and his presentation outlined how to maximize them all. Be prepared to take notes!

Nicholson’s full presentation can be seen here.

How to Start a D1 Hockey Program From Scratch

There are no shortcuts to success, especially not when starting a university hockey program from scratch, like Augustana University Head Coach Garrett Raboin.

Not many people get the opportunity to build something from the ground up like Raboin has, but hearing how he’s handling such a daunting task will leave you with takeaways on how to improve your program – guaranteed.

Raboin’s full presentation can be seen here.
