Hockey Share Drill of the Week – Breakouts in Fours

In Drillsby HockeyShare

Drill Description:

Half ice drill. The Coach starts the drill by placing a puck in the corner.

Both Defencemen go back to retrieve the puck.

One Forward locates on the wall and the other swings through the middle.

The third Forward acts as a forechecker taking away one of the Defensemen’s options.

After the puck is moved to a forward the puck is returned to the coach and the drill is mirrored on the other side with the forwards rotating who is the forechecker.

The drill finishes once all the forwards have been a forechecker.
