Hockey Share Drill of the Week – Montreal Defensive Zone Coverage

In Drills by HockeyShare

Drill Description:

A full line of players starts the drill by skating down the ice then setting up in the offensive zone (Red).

Another full line of players are waiting in their defensive zone in defensive zone coverage (Green).

Once the puck gets below the goal line the Red team can score and the Green team defends.

Play the situation out until a turnover, the goalie covers the puck or a goal.

When the play is stopped the Green team takes a puck, skates down the ice and sets up offensively in the other zone.

Another Red team waits in their defensive zone and the drill is repeated with the Green team.

After Players pay offence they rotate out of the drill.
