Jay Woodcroft

Started his NHL coaching career as a video coach with the Detroit Red Wings, where he would win a Stanley Cup in 2008. He then joined the San Jose Sharks staff under Todd McLellan in 2008 and later followed McLellan to Edmonton, joining the Oilers coaching staff in 2015.

Edmonton Oilers Assistant Coach Jay Woodcroft has been fortunate to win three Presidents’ Trophies, a Stanley Cup and a Gold Medal at the World Ice Hockey Championships. Along with the accolades Coach Woodcroft has been able to access the likes of current and future Hall of Fame players and coaches such as Rob Blake, Brendan Shanahan, Pavel Datsyuk, Joe Pavelski, Scotty Bowman. With this access Jay was able to get their take on what should be expected from coaches. He shares some of his findings and thoughts with you in this presentation.
