Mats Lindgren is a big believer in solving your own problems on the ice. We’ve all seen defensemen and forwards shove the puck up the boards in the defensive zone when under pressure, which basically just transfers one player’s problem to another player. As coaches we want our players to play safe and get the puck out of danger, but these days one mistake can lead to another and another and another and before you know it the puck is in your net.
So let’s pass the puck with authority and confidence.
