The neutral zone is an oft-neglected area of the hockey rink, which is surprising since it’s the space standing between your team and a goal for or against.

Nashville Predators assistant coach Dan Muse is a big believer in the neutral zone, particularly how to get through it with the puck as quick as possible to generate scoring chances. The former Yale University assistant coach jumped to Nashville in 2017 after a stint as the head coach of the USHL’s Chicago Steel.
