Bob McKenzie presents
Observations on the Evolution of Coaching

TSN’s Hockey Insider shares his personal thoughts on how coaching has evolved during his 35+ years covering the game.

Bob McKenzie is a member of the Hockey Hall of Fame and one of the most respected men in hockey. During the season die hard fans hang on his every word both on television and via his twitter account, which has 1.3+ million followers.  We were fortunate this past summer when Bob agreed to join us at our inaugural TeamSnap Hockey Coaches Conference in Toronto to speak to our group of delegates which ranged from minor hockey coaches to those coaching in the NHL. His speech touched all levels of the game.

Below is an excerpt from Bob’s speech. For a limited time we are offering non TCS members the opportunity to access his entire speech at NO COST!

Whether you are a minor hockey coach, parent, administrator or involved with the game at a higher level, you don’t want to miss this! Bob touches on his own experience as a minor hockey coach and offers what he feels has improved in the game and what could stand to be improved.

Bob also had a special surprise for our audience at the end of his speech. Turns out that while preparing for his presentation he reached out to some of the top coaches in the game to get their insight on the current state of the coaching profession. Insight only he could gather as a trusted confidant. That he chose to share it with the greater coaching fraternity speaks to the respect he has for all coaches.
