Few believe that more than St. Louis Blues head coach Craig Berube, who discussed what communication means to him and why it’s so valuable in his coaching style. This must-see presentation was hosted by Troy Ward, amateur scout with the Vancouver Canucks.

Brennan Sonne, head coach of the Saskatoon Blades, spoke about how to improve goal creation in the areas where they most often occur. This presentation is for any coach looking for their team to score more goals, aka every coach ever.

DEVELOPING ELITE DEFENCEMEN ON THE OFFENSIVE BLUELINE
Typically there are two types of defensemen: defensive defensemen and offensive defencemen. Daniel Bochner, assistant coach & player development coach with SKA Saint Petersburg, spoke about various ways coaches can help their players develop the skills necessary to succeed on the offensive blueline within the modern game of hockey. Another presentation focused on defencemen was courtesy of Dave Starman, player development director of the Long Beach Lightning, who spoke about how defencemen create early gaps, defend off the puck and create offence all at the same time. The trifecta.

Gil Scott, president & CEO of Gil Scott Sports Management, spoke with host Aaron Wilbur, founder of The Coaches Site, about how to prepare for an interview.
