DeBoer is currently the Head Coach of the Las Vegas Golden Knights after a three year stint with the San Jose Sharks.
He spent 13 years as a head coach in the OHL, winning Coach of the Year twice and a Memorial Cup with the Kitchener Rangers in 2003. After beginning his NHL head coaching career with the Florida Panthers, DeBoer would make two trips to the Stanley Cup Finals with New Jersey in 2012 and San Jose in 2016. Internationally, he’s served as an Assistant Coach for Team Canada at the World Junior Championships(2 times) and World Championships(4 times).
